This was put together by several people from different groups and is not being promoted by any one group in particular. Those people are Rhonda Payne Nally (aka Gypsy), longtime fan & founder of a William Shockley fan group; Sharon Knieberg Peltz, admin of a Jane Seymour fan group; AnneE, longtime fan who was very involved in efforts to save the show after it was cancelled; Don Bitz, Paramount Ranch historian and DQ supporter; Rhonda Caillet, admin of a Dr. Quinn fan group; and me, admin of this Joe Lando fan group. We all thought it would be a great idea for all the fans to come together and help out the park that was home to Dr. Quinn in honor of the National Park Service’s 100th birthday.
I spoke with the Executive Director of Santa Monica Mountains Fund myself, and she assured me that these donations are specifically designated for Paramount Ranch and go directly into their account. She also confirmed it in writing. We worked together with them to set this up and they approved all the info on the fundraiser page before it was posted.
Everyone I spoke to at both the park and the fund is very excited and very grateful to the fans for doing this. With all of the fan groups working together we can reach thousands of fans, so please feel free to share this anywhere. Every donation helps, even $10. Together we can make a difference and leave a great legacy at the park in the name of Dr. Quinn! For more details and to donate, see the fundraiser page at www.razoo.com/paramount-ranch.
