The "Save Our Show" Campaign - DRAFT |
All items on this page are from our personal collections, not gathered from the internet.
This is an attempt to explain the historic effort made by fans to save the show from cancellation so that newer fans will have an understanding of just how much work went into it.
But first, some background. How did a fan group come to be in the mid-90s before the advent of social media? The first group was known as the DQMW-List because it functioned as an email list. Hosted by a server, members would send an email to one address and the server would distribute that message to all of the subscribers (or members). Members could start a new message or reply to a previous one.
Visit these pages to read the story of how the DQMW-List was formed, how the fans learned of the cancellation, and their attempts to stop the cancellation.
